The Parenting: Release date and where to watch in Australia

March 6, 2025

Max’s new original film The Parenting is stacked with big TV stars, including Lisa Kudrow, Brian Cox, and Edie Falco.

This upcoming horror comedy movie, which, as per its trailer, can easily be described as Meet the Fockers and The Poltergeist medley, has been confirmed to premiere in Australia next week. It follows a couple who decide to meet each other’s parents during a weekend getaway, only for the supposedly fun and intimate trip to be ruined by a poltergeist.

Ahead of its television premiere, here’s how you can watch The Parenting in Australia.

The Parenting will be streaming in Australia on Thursday, 13 March 2025 on BINGE (which you can also access via Hubbl). The film is also scheduled to launch on Foxtel and Foxtel Now on Friday, 4 April 2025.

Don’t miss The Parenting (2025) coming to Australia from 13 March on BINGE, then on 4 April on Foxtel and Foxtel Now. You can check out the film’s trailer below:

Young gay couple Rohan (Nik Dodani) and Josh (Brandon Flynn) arrange a weekend getaway with their respective parents. Meeting for the first time, Rohan’s more traditional parents Sharon (Edie Falco) and Frank (Brian Cox) immediately clash with Josh’s easygoing parents Liddy (Lisa Kudrow) and Cliff (Dean Norris).

Tensions further rise when their rental turns out to be inhabited by a 400-year-old poltergeist, which, of course, we can all expect to be very grumpy and impatient with humans. But it’s only when Frank is possessed that the couple and their prying best friend Sara (Vivian Bang) need to do everything they can to unite the two families to stop the evil from wreaking havoc.
