Cameron Cade’s journey from a promising athlete to a man grappling with the darker side of his idol, Isaiah White, has plenty of potential. However, while the film starts strong with some gripping moments, it occasionally drifts into melodrama, losing the subtlety needed to make the emotional beats hit harder. The performances are decent, with the lead actors showcasing their talents, but there are times when the script feels a bit clunky and predictable. The isolation of the compound adds a nice layer to the film, giving it a claustrophobic feel that mirrors Cameron's struggles. But by the end, I found myself wanting a bit more depth and less exposition. It’s not a bad film, just one that doesn't quite reach the heights it aims for.
