What is the plot of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes

The Hunger Games prequel is set 64 years before the events of The Hunger Games when Coriolanus Snow was only 18 years old. Still reeling from the devastation of the war that cost his family name its wealth and prestige, Coriolanus becomes determined to restore everything that’s been destroyed by the war.

The 10th annual Hunger Games presents itself as a grand opportunity for the young Snow. Chosen as a mentor, he meets Lucy Gray Baird, the female tribute from District 12. Sharp and fierce, Lucy Gray captures not only Coriolanus’ attention but also the Capitol’s.

Together, the young Snow and Lucy Gray set out to emerge as both victor and survivor, uniting their showmanship and political sassines. But by doing so, they ultimately find out who the real songbird and snake is.

The film is directed by Francis Lawrence, who also directed The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.
