Nell Jackson’s reunion with her family after the war is cut short after taking on a bully and finding herself framed for murder. Forced to escape with her sisters Roxy and George, she begins living the life of a fugitive, in addition to being a notorious highwaywoman in the country.
But Nell is no ordinary robber – a magical spirit named Billy Blind aids her in her various endeavours by giving her superpowers. As news of her magical abilities spread, she attracts the attention of a villainous Earl who’s scheming to oust the Queen of England and claim the throne for himself.
As it turns out, one of England’s most wanted fugitives and the country’s most fearsome female highwaywoman is the only one who can save the Queen and the country.
The upcoming adventure series is created by Sally Wainwright, best known for creating other acclaimed shows like Happy Valley and Gentleman Jack.
