What is McDonald & Dodds about?

The crime drama follows streetwise investigator DCI Lauren McDonald and her coy, modest partner DS Dodds. The former used to work in London’s Metropolitan Police, only relocating to Bath in the hopes of upping her policing career.

In Bath, she joins the Avon and Somerset Police Criminal Investigation Department and is paired with DS Dodds, a local detective who cannot be more different than her. While McDonald is outspoken and ambitious, Dodds is meek and awkward.

But while mismatched, the clash in their personalities pave for an efficient partnership that takes on every baffling case in Bath. Eventually, the duo forges a unique friendship that only makes their process of solving crimes even more engaging.

The series is created by Robert Murphy and produced by Amy Thurgood. Serving as executive producers are Preethi Mavahalli and Damien Timmer.
