Hypnotic follows Danny Rourke (Affleck), a detective at the Austin Police Department. His whole life collapsed three years ago when his daughter went missing. Struggling to find answers, a semblance of truth appears out of the blue upon encountering a mysterious man who seems to know things.

The mystery man turns out to be a dangerous hypnotist, the result of a secret government program who’s now leaving clues as he creates more problems for the authorities, endangering countless civilians.

Determined to find his daughter, Danny joins forces with a fortune-teller, Diana (Alice Braga), who knows more about “hypnotics” than anyone else.

As they become more entangled in a mystery previously unknown to the world, they’re further thrown into a pit of conspiracies with truths they may not be ready to discover yet.

Hypnotic is directed by Robert Rodriguez from a script he developed with Max Borenstein.
