Based on Peter James’ Roy Grace novels, the Grace TV series revolves around fierce yet troubled detective Roy Grace. Haunted by the disappearance of his wife years ago, he spends most of his time investigating cold cases. He also uses his interests in the paranormal to solve the most complex of crimes, leading his colleagues to question his methods. Still, his unconventional approach to untangling mysteries often yields results.
Adapted for television by acclaimed screenwriter Russell Lewis (Endeavour), Grace is back for Season 3 with Roy Grace and his partner Glenn Branson returning to solve more cases in Brighton.

Grace TV series preview
Consisting of only 2-3 episodes each season, Grace is an easy binge, while featuring engrossing cases that Detective Superintendent Roy Grace ends up taking on. In the first episode, “Dead Simple”, Grace is approached by colleague Detective Sergeant Branson.
Together, they investigate a stag night gone wrong where everyone save for the groom are killed in a road accident. The groom, a wealthy Brighton property developer, is also nowhere to be found.
In the second episode from the first series titled “Looking Good Dead”, Grace and every hard working police officer in the department must go through a harrowing investigation after someone is brutally murdered, with the crime possibly connected to a dark web snuff site.
Throughout the series, most of the detective’s actions and decisions are influenced by his grief over his wife’s vanishing without a trace. In Season 2’s final episode, viewers are shocked to learn that his wife Sandy may still be alive, making the show’s return for a third season a highly anticipated event for fans. It also forces Grace to prepare for whatever comes next. Is he ready to find out the truth about his wife?
Grace Season 3 will also provide an in-depth look at Roy Grace and his wife’s relationship, setting the stage for the possible upcoming resolution surrounding her mysterious disappearance that has since left Grace a broken man. With this, there’ll be flashbacks focusing on their time together.
Eight books from Peter James’ Roy Grace novel series have already been covered, though we can expect more will follow since there are currently 19 books in the series. The third season consists of three episodes, which were adapted from Dead Like You (2010), Dead Man’s Grip (2011), and Not Dead Yet (2012).
