It all began when Rose McGowan, known for her starring role in the hit series ‘Charmed,’ alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Harvey Weinstein in 1997 at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
Alongside fellow actress Ashley Judd, Rose was among the women who came forward detailing decades of allegations of sexual harassment against Weinstein in a tell-all piece, which was published by The New York Times in October 2017.
Since then, Rose has become one of the most outspoken accusers and have rallied against Weinstein, even going so far as taking an issue with how the rest of Hollywood has reacted to this scandal, especially during the 2018 Golden Globes. This is sure to be one of the more controversial shows on TV, but you won’t find Citizen Rose on free to air in Australia.
