Deal or No Deal Australia was a game show staple when it aired on Channel 7 from 2003 to 2013, with repeat episodes until 2015.

Now over ten years later, Channel 10 is bringing back the nerve-racking yet super fun contest with a new host leading the charge (with his dance moves as per the promo) and a $100,000 cash prize.

With game shows an enduring part of television despite the rise of streaming content, we can’t wait for Ten’s very own version of the show that became part of Australia’s household for a decade.

Introducing Australia’s Deal or No Deal (2024)

The premiere of the new Deal or No Deal in Australia is just around the corner with Ten moving the February 5 release date a week earlier to January 29.

Presenting new host, Gold Logie winner Grant Denyer, the program’s return will also introduce some changes. For instance, the new format will have 22 briefcases hiding life-changing surprises instead of 26. This is welcome news for contestants since it will make picking a little less unnerving.

Deal or No Deal is one of the most prolific game shows, producing over 300 iterations worldwide. It originated as a Dutch game show (Miljoenenjacht) before making its way to Australia in 2003.

The rule is simple: Contestants must beat The Banker to win whopping cash prizes.

Requirements, on the other hand, are a little trickier in this competition that needs a whole lot of nerve, plus a solid gut instinct and pure luck on your side. You can check out Ten’s groovy teaser below.
