What is the plot of Blue Lights (TV series)?

Blue Lights follows new police recruits Grace (Siân Brooke), Annie (Katherine Devlin), and Tommy (Nathan Braniff) as they navigate their lives as members of the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland).

As rookies, they struggle to deal with the high-pressure demands and dangers of the job, leading them to question their decision to join the force. Taking on criminal gangs, their segregated communities, and even doubting the trustworthiness of their own police force, they do everything in their power to survive.

In Blue Lights Season 2, Grace, Annie, and Tommy are no longer rookies in constant doubt and confusion after a year into the job. They’ve already witnessed firsthand their job’s true nature and their roles in the fall of the McIntyre crime gang prove that they’re doing something right.

But a dominant criminal gang ending means a new one is set to rise, spawning even bigger turmoil as rival gangs attempt to replace The McIntyres. Hence, the nerve-racking experiences of police officers will continue to be tackled in the new season, highlighting their growing personal and psychological dilemmas.

Blue Lights was directed by Gilles Bannier and co-created and written by Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson. You can watch the official trailer for the new Blue Lights Season 2 below:
