When an unknown man is found dead in an underground car park, the police initially assume that the flood that recently struck the town was the culprit. Assigned to the case is PC Joanna Marshall (Rundle), who discovers that he died even before the flood.

With a killer on the loose and a community still grappling from the aftermath of a natural disaster, Joanna, while pregnant, must dig deeper to uncover the truth. The investigation, however, changes everything for the small town. Despite the impossible odds, Joanna remains intent on finding answers, no matter the risks.

After the Flood is written and created by Mick Ford with all six episodes directed by Azhur Saleem. Ford also executive produced the series alongside Happy Valley executive producer Nicola Shindler, Richard Fee, and Huw Kennair-Jones. Juliet Charlesworth served as the series producer.
