The movie will first have its theatrical run, which started last 11 January in Australia. After that, its distributor Amazon MGM Studios will release the film digitally.

With Amazon MGM Studios being a subsidiary of Amazon, it’s very likely for the new Jason Statham-starrer to debut on subscription streaming via Prime Video.

Beekeeper Adam Clay (Statham) is a former operative of a clandestine organisation who chose a life of peace. He is forced out of retirement after the owner of the barn he’s renting, Eloise Parker, who also became someone he cares about, dies by suicide.

She took her own life after losing over $2 million, with most of the money belonging to a charity organisation she looked after, to a vicious phishing scam.

Grief-stricken and infuriated, he vows revenge against the group of scammers that stole from Eloise. He manages to track the culprits, burning their entire operation to the ground. But his yearning for payback uncovers a deeper conspiracy that even involves the US President!

This riveting action thriller is directed by David Ayer, best known for his works in Fury (2014) and Suicide Squad (2016). Ayer also served as a producer alongside Statham, Bill Block, Chris Long, and Kurt Wimmer.
