With Paramount Television International Studios involved in the production, the new crime thriller will be available to stream on Paramount+.

Paramount+’s Sexy Beast explores the origins of best friends and expert thieves Gal Dove (James McArdle) and Don Logan (Emun Elliott), underscoring their relationship during the peak of their “career” in 1990s London.

Bold, destructive, and fearless, Gal and Don attract the attention of Teddy Bass (Stephen Moyer), an up-and-coming crime boss who wants the duo in his circle.

However, the arrival of Deedee (Sarah Greene) into Gal’s life threatens to destroy the dynamics between him and Don, as well as both their future in the criminal underworld.

The upcoming prequel is developed by Michael Caleo based on the 2000 film from writers Louis Mellis and David Scinto. All three also executive-produce the series with James Levison serving as the producer.

Check out the trailer for the new TV show right here.

James McArdle, best known for his roles in Mare of Easttown and Andor plays Gal, while Guilt and The Gold actor Emun Elliott stars as Don.

Here’s the complete main cast of the Sexy Beast prequel series:

  • James McArdle as Gal Dove
  • Emun Elliott as Don Logan
  • Tamsin Greig as Cecilia
  • Stephen Moyer as Teddy Bass
  • Sarah Greene as Deedee Harrison
