The film follows Martyn and Rebecca, who relocate to Glasgow in search of a fresh start, only to be confronted by the unsettling behaviour of their neighbour, Jan. This narrative cleverly plays on the themes of trust and paranoia, as the couple's dream home quickly morphs into a nightmare. The performances, particularly that of the lead actors, are commendable; they bring depth and authenticity to their characters, making the audience invest emotionally in their plight. It's an interesting setup, no doubt, but somewhere along the way, it loses a bit of steam. The performances are solid, but the characters sometimes feel a bit one-dimensional. You get the sense that the film wants to explore deeper themes of fear and trust, but it doesn't quite hit the mark. The ending, while shocking, left me feeling a bit unsatisfied.
