The streaming adaptation of Jenny Han’s book, “The Summer I Turned Pretty”, returns for a new season to the delight of its global fans. The smash-hit romantic drama follows Belly as she enters a new chapter of her life with Jeremiah, but not without Conrad making her wistful about all this (we miss you, Cam Cameron).

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 premiered with double episodes on 16 July 2025. After two episodes, the new season rolls out weekly until the finale on 17 September 2025. Unlike the prior seasons with only 7 and 8 episodes, respectively, the final season of the teen romance drama consists of 11 episodes.

What is The Summer I Turned Pretty about?
During an annual summer vacation in the fictional beach town of Cousins Beach, 16-year-old Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) finds herself entangled in a love triangle between two brothers, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).
It was also during this summer when Belly experiences her first love, leading to her first heartbreak. What could’ve been her perfect summer becomes the time of her life when her relationships stop being simple. The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 1 may have ended with Belly and Conrad’s first kiss, but the fallout of their romance, exacerbated by a family tragedy, creates a rift between her and the two brothers.
In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2, Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah reunited to save the Cousins summer house from being sold with the help of Steven, Taylor, Cam, and the brothers’ newly arriving cousin, Skye. It was this reunion that Belly decided to pursue a romance with Jeremiah, seeing him as the right choice, leaving Conrad heartbroken.
In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, it’s been four years since we last saw the gang. Belly is in college, Jeremiah almost graduated, and Conrad is on his way to becoming a doctor. Steven wears suits while pining for Taylor, and Taylor is still a girl’s girl (except for Steven’s girlfriend Mia). The Conklins and the Fishers, however, have to deal with something shocking this season: the announcement of Belly and Jeremiah’s engagement.
This coming-of-age story is based on the novel of the same name by author Jenny Han, who also wrote other popular young adult romance novels “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before”, “P.S. I Still Love You”, and “Always and Forever, Lara Jean”. All three novels have been adapted for films on Netflix.

The three main characters Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah are played by Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno, respectively. Jackie Chung also returns as Laurel Park, Rain Spencer as Taylor Jewel, Sean Kaufman as Steven Conklin, Colin Ferguson as John Conklin, and Tom Everett Scott as Adam Fisher. Season 3 also introduced new characters: Isabella Briggs as Denise, Sofia Bryant as Anika, Zoé de Grand’Maison as Agnes, and Kristen Connolly as Lucinda Jewel.
