The new season initially premiered in the US last October 1, 2023. It’s been confirmed that season 35 will only consist of 18 episodes. In Australia, the final 18th episode is scheduled to screen on May 22, 2024.

The long-running animated comedy follows the Simpson family, which consists of the not-your-typical family man Homer, a nuclear plant employee, the blue-haired matriarch Marge, troublemaking son Bart, overachieving daughter Lisa, and baby Maggie.
While the sitcom showcases the family members as being dysfunctional, several episodes have been dedicated to exploring their relationships where they’re shown to bond and care for each other. After that, it’s back to Homer getting Marge to support his outrageous schemes, Bart making troubles here and there, and Lisa being, well, Lisa.
Also featured in the animated series are other Springfield residents starting with the family’s religious neighbor, Ned Flanders, family physician Dr. Hibbert, police chief Clancy Wiggum, and bartender Moe.
The Simpsons is created by Matt Groening for Fox, who also named the characters after his own family members. A film based on the animated series, The Simpsons Movie, was released in 2007. A sequel is reportedly in the works.
