Dedicated Star Wars fans are bound to love Star Wars: The Bad Batch, both a sequel and spin-off of The Clone Wars. Set after the Clone War, it revolves around members of a unique squad of clones as they navigate a galaxy that’s constantly changed by wars and uprisings.

The Clone Force 99, also known as the Bad Batch, were first introduced in The Clone Wars. Now they’re featured in their own stand-alone series, taking on audacious mercenary missions in a rapidly changing galaxy. And after that dramatic cliffhanger ending of season 2, their story finally wraps up with the final third season coming to our screens this month. Here’s how you can watch new episodes in Australia.

A beautifully animated adventure, every new episode of Star Wars The Bad Batch, as well as complete episodes from seasons 1-2, are available to stream on Disney Plus.

In addition to Star Wars content, Disney Plus also offers exclusive access to every Marvel, Pixar, Disney, and Nat Geo content, plus the newly added Star channel for more adult-oriented shows and movies.

Star Wars and Star Wars: Clone Wars fans were delighted when the first season of The Bad Batch premiered. The new animated series follows a group of elite and experimental clones who were first introduced in the last season of Clone Wars.

In the new spin-off, several favourite characters made notable appearances, including the likes of Captain Rex and Star Wars: Rebel’s Hera Syndualla.

In its second season, the clone conspiracy only intensified with more returning characters, a few of which we never thought we would see again. We also saw The Bad Batch joining forces with Gungi and searched for more allies.

One of season 2’s highlights was the return of Commander Cody after Order 66. For starters, the character is one of the few clones that have been featured in the original movies (portrayed by Temuera Morrison in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith). He was also Obi-Wan’s commander and even worked closely with both Captain Rex and the Bad Batch when the war was at its height.

In Star Wars The Bad Batch Season 2, Episode 3, the loyal commander chose to leave Crosshair and defect from the Empire, just as fans had hoped.

In the final third season, episodes will revolve around Clone Force 99’s mission to rescue Omega from the Empire. Being the concluding season, we’ll also witness how they will become involved in the creation of the Rebel Alliance.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is created by Dave Filoni for Disney+, based on George Lucas’ enduring Star Wars. Filoni also executive produced the series with Athena Yvette Portillo, Jennifer Corbett and Brad Rau. Josh Rimes serves as producer.

You can watch Disney Plus’ official trailer for the final season right here.

Dee Bradley Baker stars as the Bad Batch and is also the voice of other clones in the series. Joining Baker is Michelle Ang; she plays a female clone joining the Bad Batch, Omega.

Ming-Na Wen will reprise her role as Fennec Shand. Season 3’s primary antagonist, Dr. Hemlock, will be voiced by Jimmi Simpson. Gwendoline Yeo’s Nala Se is also set to return.

Check out the complete cast of the final season below.

  • Dee Bradley Baker as all members of the Bad Batch
  • Michelle Ang as Omega
  • Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand
  • Ian McDiarmid as Emperor Palpatine
  • Jimmi Simpson as Dr. Hemlock
  • Gwendoline Yeo as Nala Se
  • Corey Burton as Cad Bane
  • Nika Futterman as Asajj Ventress

The Bad Batch was confirmed to run for three seasons with the latest season 3 debuting on 21 February 2024. While waiting for new episodes to premiere, fans can stream prior seasons on Disney+.
