After the remarkable success of The Boys comes Gen V, a spinoff series based on The Boys comic book story arc “We Gotta Go Now”. The Boys’ creator Eric Kripke also develops Gen V alongside The Boys executive producers Craig Rosenberg and Evan Goldberg.
Set simultaneously with The Boys Season 4, the new series follows young Supes training to be the next generation of superheroes at Godolkin University. Only apart from the typical college woes like finding oneself, partying, and skyrocketing hormones, the stakes are outrageously higher when there are superpowers involved.

Gen V Season 2 trailer
In Gen V, The Boys fans will get to see Godolkin University School, America’s only college for young Supes wanting to maximise their power, because apparently, being the strongest also entails landing the best contracts in the best cities. Check out Gen V Season 2 trailer here:
What is Gen V about?
The Boys fans are already familiar with Vought International, the superhero entertainment conglomerate pretending to care about justice by having its superheroes pose as the good guys, all while perpetuating the evil ideology of its Nazi founder. One of Vought’s major (morally ambiguous) accomplishments is the creation of The Seven, headlined by its narcissistic leader Homelander.
However, Vought’s unethical grooming of superheroes doesn’t solely rely on secret laboratories and Compound V, as the villainous corporation also runs a superhero college exclusively for young adult superheroes hoping to be the next best thing, which also means landing lucrative endorsements.
In order to succeed, the super-powered students must compete for Godolkin University’s highly coveted top ranking system, which, we can only expect, will excruciatingly put their physical and moral boundaries to the test.
College pressures and moral dilemmas aside, the stage becomes set for an all-out chaos when a group of student supes discover the university’s dark secrets, which shouldn’t be surprising considering Vought’s track record for insidious evil. This only forces them to confront their inner demons – their actions and choices ultimately determining the kind of heroes they will be.
Will they be the type of superheroes guided by conscience like Queen Maeve or an outright savage like Homelander? More importantly, will Gen V deliver the same gore and brutal comedy that The Boys is largely known for?
Exploring the first generation of superheroes who are aware that their power comes from Compound V, Gen V marks the third in Amazon’s The Boys franchise, alongside the primary series and the animated anthology The Boys Presents: Diabolical.
