This live-action adaptation explores the Jaime Reyes version of the character, which also serves as the comic character’s debut on the silver screen. It follows Jaime as a newly college graduate who returns home full of aspirations for his future, that is until he learns that his family is going to lose their home soon.

The daunting challenge of finding his place in this world, while also finding a way to save his family from eviction leads him to Kord Industries CEO Victoria Kord. Next thing he knew, he’s entrusted to hold on to an ancient alien artifact known as the Scarab. This is where Jaime’s adventures begin.

When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to serve as its symbiotic host, the armour’s extraordinary and unpredictable powers become his to use and control, changing the course of his life and that of his family as he becomes the unstoppable superhero.

The superhero movoe comes from Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, and The Safran Company with director Angel Manuel Soto at the helm. The superhero movie is the 14th instalment of the DC Extended Universe.

It was initially intended to debut on HBO Max, but Soto’s version of the characters and his live action adventures were decided to be too enjoyable to not get a wider release.
