In this new mystery thriller penned by Mike Weiss and Heidi Cole McAdams, the brilliant but restless Imogene Scott (Beane) finds herself at the centre of a murder investigation, reasonably so after being caught on camera going inside the victim’s room around the time of his death.

Since it’s been seemingly established that she only went there for other reasons (to teach the guy a lesson for spewing verbal insults to a server earlier), it would appear that Imogene didn’t really kill anyone. In that case, the real killer is still gallivanting somewhere on that cruise.

To clear her name even before things get more heated, Imogene is forced to work with Rufus Coteworth (Patinkin), a notable detective with a reputation that precedes him. The only problem, aside from becoming a murder suspect while on a cruise, is that she really hates the guy.

Set in the picturesque backdrop of the Mediterranean waters with the world’s elite aboard a lavish cruise, this locked-room murder mystery is inspired by Agatha Christie’s mystery crime stories.

Check out the trailer for the new series streaming on Disney+ from 16 January.

Starring Mandy Patinkin and Violett Beane, the new show also stars the following:

  • Lauren Patten as Anna Collier
  • Rahul Kohli as Sunil Ranja
  • Angela Zhou as Teddy Goh
  • Hugo Diego Garcia as Jules
  • Pardis Saremi as Leila
  • Linda Emond as Agent Hilde Eriksen
