What is the plot of La Brea?
The La Brea TV series follows the Harris family as they attempt to reunite after being separated in the first season. The unexplainable phenomenon gradually unravels, revealing its shocking origins.
Meanwhile, Eve Harris and her son Josh must join forces with the other survivors while trapped in a primitive land where danger lurks in every corner. Most importantly, they must find a way to return through a mysterious portal before it closes for good.
Meanwhile, back in LA, Eve’s estranged husband Gavin and their daughter Izzy, must help solve the mystery to bring back the family members they’ve lost.
Gavin, plagued by his troubled past and hallucinations, realises that the things he’s seeing are connected to the mysteries of the sinkhole, visions that can help bring his family back. But with the portal on the verge of closing, time isn’t really on their side.
In La Brea Season 3, the destruction of a time portal resulted in messed up timelines, bringing creatures like dinosaurs to time periods they don’t belong to. Meanwhile, Gavin and his allies have another threat to confront with the Reisander Groups scheming to weaponize time travel.
Lasting three seasons on US network NBC, the sci-fi drama is created by David Appelbaum. La Brea was filmed in Victoria during the first two seasons, while the final La Brea Season 3 was filmed in Queensland.
