After an impressive debut on BINGE, Offspring actress Asher Keddie returns for Strife Season 2.
Inspired by Mia Freedman’s memoir, ‘Work, Strife, Balance’, the Strife TV series explores the world of publishing and digital media, every triumph and debacle unfolding through the eyes of Evelyn Jones, played by Keddie.
The memoir was written and adapted for television by Australian screenwriter Sarah Scheller, best known for co-creating the comedy series The Letdown, and produced by Made Up Stories, the production company behind hit shows like Big Little Lies.

Strife Season 2 trailer
Don’t miss Strife Season 2 streaming on BINGE and Foxtel from 8 May 2025! You can watch the trailer below.
What is the Strife TV series about?
Strife follows Evelyn Jones, a publisher whose career began writing blogs. Her writing, as it turns out, is something a lot of women need to hear.
Then comes a bigger, bolder idea – expanding into a full-fledged website. Of course, this entails encountering every possible setback and learning how to dodge all kinds of criticisms.
After all, the beginning of something new, something big, is always scary. But this also sets the stage for something grander.
Then comes success, transforming her into an important figure in women’s media, her life’s work turning into a digital media company.
More than exploring Evelyn’s career and complexities, as well as the eventual growth of her business, Strife also tackles motherhood, ambitions, and female friendship with heart and humour.
In Strife Season 2, Evelyn’s career is threatened when a new women’s website begins to gain traction. Not to mention there’s a vicious troll attacking her for being a pampered hypocrite, which, of course, undermines the purpose of her website.
With bigger challenges to overcome, she swears to step up her game, which is why she moves her company to a fancier office. She even ventures into podcasting, afraid but feeling bolder to try new things. At home, her personal life has complexities of its own. Between needing an investor to keep her business afloat and dealing with the fallout of her romance with Jon, there’s only so much she can handle.

Strife stars Asher Keddie as Evelyn Jones. New actors will also be joining the cast, including Mary Coustas (Acropolis Now, Rake), Karis Oka (The Deb, Population: 11), Nathan Page (Underbelly, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries), Dylan Alcott (Bump, The Set) and Tim Minchin (Upright, The Artful Dodger).
The new cast members will be joining returning stars Matt Day, Tina Bursill, Emma Lung, Jonathan LaPaglia, Alex Dimitriades, Maria Angelico, Rhys Mitchell, Olivia Junkeer, BeBe Bettencourt, Bryony Skillington, Darcy Tadich, Willow Speers, Lucy Ansell and Lincoln Younes.
