The AFL Women’s League (AFLW) is the highest-level football competition for women in Australia. As such, fans will be delighted to know that the eighth season, which is AFLW 2023, kicks off on the 1st of September.

Eighteen clubs will once again compete in a ten-round home-and-away season, with the top eight teams competing in the final series across four weeks, culminating in the Grand Final on 3 December.

The Melbourne Demons are the defending champs, but given that no team have won consecutive premierships it’s anyone’s guess who’ll be raising this year’s trophy. Likewise, given the AFLW will end well past the men’s version this time out, and viewership of women’s sport is on an increase, this season’s edition promises to be the most exciting yet.

Here in Australia the broadcast rights for the 2023 AFLW season are shared across Network Seven and Fox Footy (Foxtel/Kayo), with every game to be shown live.

The major difference is AFLW live streaming rights, which belong exclusively to Foxtel (Foxtel Now), Kayo Sports and the official AFLW app. Therefore, there will be no live AFLW matches streamed on the free-to-air 7Plus online platform.

If you’re wondering what streaming service or channel is showing the AFL Women’s League on TV today, across both free to air and sports streaming services, then look no further than our AFLW TV fixtures guide! (Shown as AEST).
