Fifty years later, what remains of the 1968 movement that turned the world upside down? Filled with Sixties fever, from Berkley to Paris, from Berlin to Mexico and from Warsaw to Tokyo, this documentary series tells the powerful years of all kinds of possibilities, whose heritage still divides. The world in 1968 is marked by endemic, multifaceted and simultaneous contestations, led by a new generation fiercely criticizing a society judged colonial, authoritarian and moralizing. With a critical, international and long-term approach, the documentary is deeply rooted in the time of a world in crisis, in the profusion of its doubts, and within the divisions between progressives and conservatives, that reminds the conflict between a politicized generation and the “silent majority”.
