Marvel Animation’s upcoming original series Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man features Peter Parker in his early days as the titular superhero.
After the successes of What If…? and X-Men ’97, Marvel Animation is presenting its latest animated series, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, exploring Parker’s origin story. It stars Hudson Thames in the lead role with Colman Domingo (Fear the Walking Dead, Euphoria) voicing Norman Osborn. Charlie Cox, the star of another Marvel series, Daredevil: Born Again, also reprises his role as Matt Murdock.

Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man release date Australia
Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man will be streaming in Australia on Wednesday, 29 January 2025. The 10-episode first season is confirmed to debut with two episodes, followed by three episodes in the subsequent weeks, and then two episodes in the final week. A second season is also in the works.
Every episode of Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man will be exclusive to Disney Plus.

What is the plot of Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man?
Marvel Animation’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man explores and celebrates the character’s early comic book roots, showcasing Peter Parker’s early adventures as he trains to become faster, stronger, and smarter when dealing with bad guys.
Interestingly, this new origin story is set in an alternate timeline thanks to the creation of the multiverse. Here, Norman Osborn becomes Peter’s mentor (not Tony Stark) in this journey unlike anything fans have ever seen in the young hero’s life.
The new animated series is created by Jeff Trammell, who’s also one of the executive producers alongside Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt. It was first announced during 2021’s Disney+ Day as Spider-Man: Freshman Year.
It features the voices of Hudson Thames as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, Colman Domingo as Norman Osborn, Eugene Byrd as Lonnie Lincoln, Grace Song as Nico Minoru, Zeno Robinson as Harry Osborn, Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius, Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, Kari Wahlgren as May Parker, and Paul F. Tompkins as Bentley Wittman.
