How many Twilight movies are there?

There are five Twilight films in total and watching all of them in proper order can be confusing for some. To make it easier for you, here’s a list of all Twilight movies in order and the year they launched in Australia.

1. Twilight (2008)

  • IMDB: 5.3/10

Bella Swan moves from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington to live with his father Charlie Swan. There she starts anew as a 17-year-old high school student. Her life changes when she finds herself fascinated by a mysterious boy in her new high school, Edward Cullen.

Her feelings for him begin to grow, and although he appears to be interested in her too, Edward chooses not to reciprocate as he lives a secret life that no other human must know – he and his whole family are vampires living in the modern-day.

The Cullens, which primarily comprise the The Twilight Saga cast include Carlisle Cullen, Esme Cullen, Alice Cullen, Emmett Cullen, Rosalie Hale, and Jasper Hale.

2. The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)

  • IMDB: 4.7/10

After years of abstaining from drinking human blood, the Cullens realise that they’ll be a danger to Bella when she bleeds in front of them after a minor accident. Using all of their strength and willpower to resist the urge to harm Bella, they decide to move away from Forks, Washington.

Nikki Reed who plays Rosalie Hale, Edward’s adoptive sister, is relieved that their family is moving. She has always disapproved of Bella and her relationship with Edward.

Furthermore, Edward’s absence leads to Bella becoming closer to her friend Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) – a werewolf. The werewolves and the vampires share a bad history; thus, Bella and Jacob’s friendship also begin having complications.

3. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)

  • IMDB: 5/10

Bella’s love for Edward and friendship with Jacob continues to make things complicated and they’re only getting worse. While dealing with her complex relationships with the two, there’s also danger in her community when mysterious killings start to instill fear in the town.

The constant conflicts between the vampires and the werewolves also threaten to cause a major war. And if this isn’t enough, Bella has to make the most important decision of her life – is she willing to be part of a vampire family?

4. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011)

  • IMDB: 4.9/10

Bella starts a new chapter of her life as she finally marries Edward Cullen. However, the bliss of being married is cut short after she becomes pregnant. With a human bearing a vampire’s child, the whole Cullen family fears that Bella might be bearing an immortal child, which could lead to her death.

5. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012)

  • IMDB: 5.5/10

The final movie in the franchise begins with Bella finally turning into a vampire. She’s able to use her abilities to protect her and Edward’s daughter Renesmee.

When the Volturi discovers that the Cullens turned Bella’s child into a vampire in order to survive during her pregnancy, the most powerful coven of vampires won’t just simply let this go.

Turning a child into a vampire is a great violation that’s punishable by death. Thus, the Volturi deems Bella’s daughter a threat and too dangerous to exist.

All the Twilight movies combine romance, drama, thrilling highlights, and even unintentionally humorous moments at times. If you haven’t seen the movies in The Twilight Saga, now is the best time to do so as you can find the Twilight films all in one place.
