New biographical sports feature, the Unstoppable movie, is hitting streaming this week.

The true story of an American wrestler who was born with only one leg and his ultimate victory after becoming the NCAA Division I wrestling champion is the subject of 2024’s Unstoppable starring Jharrel Jerome as wrestler Anthony Robles.

In addition to Jerome, best known for his Emmy-winning performance in When They See Us, the new sports film features an ensemble supporting cast that includes Jennifer Lopez, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle.

The new Unstoppable movie is streaming in Australia from Thursday, 16 January 2025.

The film had a limited theatrical release last 6 December 2024 in the US, but it’s only this January that it will have a wider release on Amazon Prime Video.

From producer Ben Affleck, Unstoppable is an uplifting real story that follows NCAA champion Anthony Robles. Born with only one leg, he discovered his passion for wrestling and continued to pursue the sport when he attended Arizona State University, joining the Arizona state wrestling team.

His journey is not without struggles as Anthony fights through hardship and constantly faces immense doubts from his coaches and fellow wrestlers. Armed with unwavering strength and perseverance despite his physical challenges, Robles also gets support from his mother Judy Robles, (Lopez).
