The Couple Next Door Season 2 premieres on Wednesday, 16 July 2025. The new six-episode instalment airs weekly on streaming TV, exclusively launching on BINGE, then on demand on Foxtel and Foxtel Now on Showcase.

What is the plot of The Couple Next Door?
The Couple Next Door’s second season follows Charlotte Roberts (Annabel Scholey) and her husband, Jacob (Sam Palladio), both successful in their medical careers as a heart surgeon and consultant anaesthetist, respectively. When their new colleague Mia (Aggy K Adams) rents out the house next door, Charlotte and Jacob’s relationship takes a drastic turn. Mia begins to manipulate her way into their life, unraveling repressed desires and resentment.
Mia also starts a friendship with outcast Alan (Hugh Dennis), her intentions unknown. While Charlotte struggles to make sense of the loudening chaos brought upon by Mia, she also needs to deal with the emergence of Leo (Sendhil Ramamurthy), a former flame. When patients in their hospital start dying, all eyes turn to Mia, whose dark past comes back to haunt her.
Channel 4’s The Couple Next Door is loosely based on the Dutch series New Neighbours. It is written by David Allison, best known for co-creating the supernatural drama, Bedlam, and directed by Dries Vos (Professor T). The series is unrelated to Shari Lapena’s 2016 thriller novel The Couple Next Door.

Season 1 starred an ensemble cast that included Eleanor Tomlinson (The White Queen, Poldark), Sam Heughan (Outlander, The Spy Who Dumped Me), Alfred Enoch (How to Get Away with Murder), Hugh Dennis (Fleabag, The Great British Dig) and Jessica De Gouw (Arrow, Dracula).
Season 2 introduces a new cast: Sam Palladio (Nashville, The Princess Switch), Annabel Scholey (The Split, The Sixth Commandment), Aggy K Adams (The Witcher, Greek Salad) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (One Piece, Never Have I Ever). Hugh Dennis also returns to reprise his role as Alan.
