Outlander star Sam Heughan stars in the new Channel 4 psychological drama, The Couple Next Door, following next door couples entangled in a passionate affair turned dangerously messy.

Exploring the stifling claustrophobia of suburban life and the repercussions of acting on your desires, this new thriller is as dark as it is indulgently gripping.

Featuring an ensemble cast, Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark), Alfred Enoch (How to Get Away with Murder), and Jessica De Gouw (The Secrets She Keeps) also star.

The new UK thriller has been confirmed to premiere in Australia, featuring an ensemble cast of television stars, but where to watch every episode?

Looking to start a family soon, young couple Evie (Tomlinson) and Pete (Enoch) relocate into a high-end neighbourhood, only to find themselves in constant anxiety as they struggle to find their place in the affluent community.

Their worries are slightly alleviated after striking a friendship with their next door neighbours, married couple Danny (Heughan) and Becka (De Gouw).

But just when things for Evie and Pete are starting to get better in their new home, Evie and Danny’s relationship takes a surprising turn, developing into a complex web of lies, desires, and betrayal.

Channel 4’s new series is loosely based on the Dutch series New Neighbours. It is written by David Allison, best known for co-creating the supernatural drama, Bedlam, and directed by Dries Vos (Professor T).
