Telstra recently gave its broadband plans a facelift. You can now choose your plan based on your needs – Essential or Unlimited. Plans are available on both NBN and ADSL connections, on a contract or month-to-month. Still, the inclusions in the top plan are pretty hard to pass up, including a free Foxtel Now subscription!
The new Telstra broadband plans on a contract come in three flavours – Essential, Unlimited and Unlimited+Streaming. All plans include a home line with unlimited calls anywhere in Australia, including to mobiles. The most basic of them, Essential, costs only $69/month and packs 100GB data. In other words, it’s recommended for those who don’t use their internet excessively, but still want to stay in touch with loved ones. The Unlimited plans, on the other hand, come with unlimited data – perfect for downloading and heavier internet activity. These ones cost $89 and $99/month.
On the Entertainment front, the inclusions are incredibly appealing. The Unlimited+Streaming plan, at $99/month, offers unlimited data and a free Telstra TV 2. Plus, you get two years of Foxtel Now’s Pop and Lifestyle packs, plus your first 2 BigPond Movies rentals free.
As for month-to-month plans, you can pick between a 100GB plan at $69/month and an unlimited plan at $89/month.
