The smash-hit mystery comedy series, Only Murders in the Building, returns this month for its highly anticipated third season. The series received widespread praise for its comedic approach to crime fiction when it first launched, something you don’t see everyday in the crime thriller genre.
After the game-changing second season finale, the mystery only intensifies and what better way to elevate the intrigue than bringing Meryl Streep into the fold! The legendary actress will join the series for its third season premiere in August, which we can expect will top Paul Rudd’s Season 2 finale cameo. Three seasons in and Only Murders in the Building just keep getting better. Here’s everything you need to know about Season 3.
What’s in this Guide?
Only Murders in the Building preview
Three strangers obsessed with true crime who live in the same apartment building suddenly find themselves involved in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their building, they decide to take the investigation into their own hands, working together to solve their neighbour’s mysterious death via their own true crime podcast.
As they dig deeper with their own podcast covering the investigation, they uncover complex secrets involving the building that goes way back. Using their passion for true crime, they eventually decipher clues and the mysterious circumstances behind the murder unravels right before their very eyes.
In Only Murders in the Building Season 2 the trio must solve another murder mystery in the building, but mainly to clear their names from suspicion. The second season also introduced new characters with Cara Delevingne and Amy Schumer joining the cast. The final moments of the second season also introduced Paul Rudd’s character, Ben Glenroy, who we’ll continue to see in the upcoming season, alongside Meryl Streep’s character. Streep’s role in Season 3 is still undisclosed, much like the new season’s plot.
Only Murders in the Building is created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman.
