The story revolves around the lives of twin sisters Anna and Benni. Their unwavering determination leads them on a quest to expose environmental wrongdoing, pushing the boundaries of what they believe is right.
When a hacking of the government server leads to a police raid, the sisters suddenly find themselves caught in a web of circumstances and their lives take an unexpected turn. Anna Krohn, the introverted sister, is arrested by the BKA (Bundeskriminalamt), while her charismatic twin, Benni Krohn, manages to elude capture.
Meanwhile, a radical new terrorist group, known as “The Last Resistance,” emerges. Benni becomes an integral part of this group, resorting to increasingly violent action to make a powerful statement. As the sisters’ paths diverge, Anna makes a fateful decision to work alongside her godfather, Christoph Wandler, who heads the BKA’s cybercrime unit.
Within this thin line between loyalty and justice, Anna embarks on a challenging journey, balancing her allegiance to her sister and her commitment to a larger cause. And so, aptly called A Thin Line, the series explores the intricate dynamics of their relationship and the fragile nature of their convictions.
