Disney Plus always offers money-saving discounts just in time for new premieres, doubling the fun for new and returning Disney Plus subscribers. Earlier in August, the much-awaited premiere of Ahsoka, a new series within the Star Wars universe finally dropped on streaming TV. But there’s more to come in September. Find out more about them here:

Ahsoka (New episodes weekly)

The beloved Star Wars character has now her own series with Rosario Dawson playing the titular character. Initially making her live-action debut in The Mandalorian, she went on to make another appearance in The Book of Boba Fett, indicating the bigger role she’ll play in the Star Wars universe. From being Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan apprentice, Ahsoka developed into a formidable warrior who’s greatly attuned to the light side of the Force.

The Little Mermaid (Movie streaming premiere)

After its theatrical success, 2023’s The Little Mermaid is hitting streaming exclusively on Disney Plus. A live-action reimagining of the 1989 animated classic, Disney’s new film stars Halle Bailey in the lead role, alongside Melissa McCarthy as the sea witch Ursula, Jonah Hauer-King as Eric, and Javier Bardem as King Triton.

I Am Groot (New season premiere)

Baby Groot has adventures of his own as depicted in Disney+’s animated shorts I Am Groot. Now back for its second season, prepare for more space escapades fronted by the ever-charming Groot as he finds himself in trouble with familiar faces within the MCU.

Elemental (Movie streaming premiere)

Disney’s sleeper hit, Elemental, also premieres on Disney Plus today. It follows fire element Ember Lumen (Leah Lewis), who strikes a friendship and later falls in love with water element Wade Ripple (Mamoudou Athie), despite their being conflicting elements of nature. One of the most lavish animated films ever made, Elemental makes its streaming debut less than three months after its cinematic premiere in Australia.

Animals Up Close with Bertie Gregory (Documentary premiere)

For documentary lovers, this one’s for you – Bertie Gregory observes animals for weeks, giving us a rare glimpse into their natural world and the daily battles they must confront in the wild. This time, the National Geographic Explorer takes us to the most astonishing corners of our planet from Antarctica to Africa and South America to Asia, bringing with him adventures even more epic. Animals Up Close with Bertie Gregory also streams today!
