BBL 2023/24 TV broadcast and streaming rights in Australia
The Big Bash League is one of the most watched, most anticipated events of the Australian summer. With such huge popularity, it’s no wonder every streaming service is vying for the rights to broadcast live cricket fixtures. Channel 7, Foxtel, and Kayo Sports are all proud holders of the BBL streaming rights for the 2023/24 season.
Foxtel and Kayo are the official BBL hubs for the upcoming season, with both providers airing every live game, including ten matches that are exclusive to their broadcast platforms.
Channel 7 has its hands on 30 regular season games, and all 4 finals. However, you won’t be able to stream BBL matches using Seven’s online digital platform 7Plus, because those rights have been granted exclusively to Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
Commencing on December 7th and culminating in a Grand Final on January 24th, a total of 44 BBL matches are set to be played over what should be a deeply exciting summer. This year’s fixtures include 40 regular season matches and 4 games making up the finals.
Despite a contract dispute between the Seven Network and Cricket Australia, the free-to-air broadcaster ultimately secured BBL rights for the 2023/24 season and beyond. Cricket fans will be able to watch a total of 34 BBL matches live and free on Channel 7 and 7Mate. In the meantime, however, not every game this season will be available on free-to-air TV.
Alternatively, Foxtel and Kayo Sports are both showing every BBL match live, and ad-break free, for the 2023/24 season. A total of 44 games, with replays of every match for those that missed the live action. Both Foxtel and Kayo will also provide weekly BBL wrap-up shows, pre and post game analysis, and other bonus features.
