After the Party follows Penny Wildling (Malcolm), whose life is shattered when she witnessed her husband Phil (Peter Mullan) committing a heinous act against their daughter’s teenage friend. Accusing him of a sexual crime, she ended up isolating herself when nobody believed her.

Five years later, Phil, now her ex-husband, returns and attempts to re-join the community. Their daughter Grace (Tara Canton) is thrilled to have her father back into their lives, but Penny is not willing to let go of the past, her grudges dangerously floating onto the surface.

Grace insists she moves on, but Penny continues to search for evidence to prove that she’s telling the truth. This only devastates those around her, further alienating her already estranged daughter. Will she continue to find the truth or focus on mending her broken relationships?

The six-episode drama is created by Malcolm and Dianne Taylor. A collaboration with Australia and New Zealand, it was produced for New Zealand’s TVNZ and distributed by ITV Studios in other territories.
