Volcanoes have marked human imagination and beliefs since ancient times; both gateways to hell and home of gods and spirits, they act as a border between two worlds.

With their lunar landscapes, fiery furnaces and ash deserts, volcanoes are symbols of destruction and desolation; yet millions of men and women now live near these time bombs; beneath volcanoes lie some of earth's most amazing treasures.

Volcanoes have been ripping the earth apart and setting continents ablaze; people around the world are threatened by the fire giants' activity; consistently faced with the mighty giants' awakening from their slumber, they fight an endless battle.

A group of men and women embark on a mission to understand and protect the unrelenting power of volcanoes, which has been unleashed on Earth for millions of years.
