First Contact

The participants spend time in Redfern, New South Wales, and Nyinyikay, an Aboriginal homeland community in Yolngu country, Northern Territory.

The six participants are taken to Elcho Island, where they spend the night. They are then taken to Alice Springs where they visit the Yipirinya School, where students can speak, and are taught in, four different languages.

The group visit the Roebourne Regional Prison then travel to Fitzroy Crossing. They meet a group of women whose successful campaign to ban full-strength alcohol has resulted in a significant reduction in the amount of societal issues.
