Helicopter pilots Dave and Debbie King move a massive drill to a gold mine; and a 14-month-old baby suffering from pneumonia is flown by Learjet to Anchorage for emergency paediatric care.

Alaskan pilots must navigate a deadly corridor to reach the Aleutian Islands to deliver supplies to isolated villagers; and a group of scientists must choose between getting their research or themselves back to base.
