Bobby Jones’ (Will Poulter) seemingly peaceful life is upended when he finds a dying man at a golf course. Before dying, Jones bears witness to his last words – “why didn’t they ask Evans?”

With no idea of what it could mean, he shares the revelation to his socialite friend Lady Frances “Frankie” Derwent (Lucy Boynton). Together, they use their inner sleuth to answer the man’s final question, only to discover that there’s more to his death than meets the eye.

Their own investigation, however, puts their lives at risk as Bobby learns that someone wants him dead. Unfazed, they embark on a crime-solving journey equipped with their strong yearning for answers.

The series is based on Agatha Christie’s 1934 novel of the same name and directed by House actor Hugh Laurie, who also penned the 2022 adaptation.
