The Hills: New Beginnings is a reality television show and sequel to the hugely popular, The Hills. The Hills: New Beginnings Preview
The Hills was an American reality television series that debuted on MTV for six seasons from May 31, 2006, to July 13, 2010. The original series had six seasons and centred on the personal and professional lives of young twenty-somethings living in Los Angeles, California. It was created as a spin-off of to Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. Adam DiVello came up with the concept, with Liz Gateley and Sean Travis on board as executive producers.
The original cast included the likes of Heidi Montag, Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, Spencer Pratt, Brody Jenner and Whitney Port. On top of that, there was Kristin Cavallari, Justin Brescia, Jason Wahler, Stephanie Pratt, Frankie Delgado and Jay Lyon. The series’ reboot cast includes plenty of these original cast members which will be music to the ears of seasoned viewers.
MTV unveiled a relaunch of The Hills: New Beginnings, slated to broadcast at the MTV Video Music Awards in August 2018. Moreover, the series got renewed for a second season on July 22, 2019, with a launch date of May 12, 2021. Production started in early 2020, with just a few episodes finished before the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted production in March. The idea was to continue production in mid-late summer, with MTV even proposing filming in a quarantine bubble at one time. After California started to loosen its lockdowns, the network decided against it, and regular production restarted in November 2020 with rigorous COVID-19 safety standards in place.
