What is the premise of Clarkson’s Farm?

Clarkson’s Farm is a Cotswolds-based television documentary series about Jeremy Clarkson and his rural farm. The farm was once part of the Oxfordshire estate of Sarsden. In 2008, Jeremy Clarkson purchased a thousand acres, including Curdle Hill Farm.

Jeremy Clarkson’s farm begins with the man mocking himself — he buys the incorrect tractor and believes he knows more about the profession than everybody else. But the tone quickly shifts and as Clarkson realises just how difficult it is.

In a nutshell, the show is all about the intense, backbreaking, and frequently hilarious year in the life of Britain’s most unlikely farmer. Clarkson and his agricultural associates of farmhands confront the worst farming weather in decades, disobedient animals, unresponsive crops, and a whole lot of nasty difficulties.

Jeremy Clarkson must start from square one, buying his first tractor and other farm equipment. Then he needs to get the farm animals on board; without them no rural farm is complete. As he stumbles from one adventure to another misadventure, Clarkson must reconnect with his farming instinct and draw upon the experience of a common past.

In Clarkson’s Farm Season 3, Diddly Squat is in serious trouble. A closure notice, failing crops due to stifling heat, and inflation are just some of the major issues that are threatening the farm’s future. The restaurant business in the farm was also discontinued.

While things are going downhill, Jeremy is not one to give up. He knows he has to figure out something worthwhile to keep things in the farm afloat and he needs to do it fast. With hundreds of acres of unfarmed land that makes up half of Diddly Squat, there’s a potential for profit. Will his newly hatched plans turn things around?
