What is the plot of Upgraded (movie)?
Ana (Mendes) is an intern at an art company working for her perfectionist boss Claire Dupont (Marisa Tomei). She believes that getting Claire’s recommendation will help her elevate her art career, a long-time goal she’s determined to get, which is why she strives to impress her.
She finally gets the bit of recognition she wants when Claire invites her to go to London to be one of her assistants. And while that’s already exciting enough for her, she gets another pleasant surprise after being bumped to first class.
There, she meets the dashing William (Renaux), who mistakes her as her company’s director, which is actually her boss Claire. Feeling great about being in first class, meeting a charming guy, and how things are finally looking up for her, she figures what’s the harm of not correcting him.
As it turns out, even lying a little bit sets off a wild chain of events that gets Ana living a double life in London, navigating her “career”, a prospective romance, and of course, doing her actual job.
