How to watch The Pitt in Australia

September 15, 2025

HBO Max’s new medical drama series The Pitt stars television staple Noah Wyle, best known for his roles in ER, Falling Skies, and The Librarian. The brand new medical series follows frontline doctors and nurses navigating their high-intensity, fast-paced careers in the form of 15-hour ER shifts. The Pitt comes from John Wells, executive producer of ER and The West Wing.

Receiving 13 Primetime Emmy nominations and winning five, including the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, The Pitt is definitely 2025’s breakthrough medical show.

Find out where to watch The Pitt episodes using this guide.

While The Pitt TV show premiered last 10 January 2025 on BINGE, Foxtel One, and Foxtel Now, HBO Max’s arrival in Australia in March resulted in the medical series moving to HBO’s streaming service instead. As of this writing, all 15 The Pitt episodes are available to watch on HBO Max.

If you’re a Foxtel customer, you can still access HBO Max via the iQ3, iQ4 or iQ5 box. Subscription to the Basic with Ads plan that’s worth $11.99 per month is free for Foxtel subscribers.

Is The Pitt on Netflix Australia?

With some HBO content like Sex and the City, Band of Brothers, and more becoming available on Netflix, it only makes sense to wonder if The Pitt TV show is bound for streaming on Netflix as well. Unfortunately, most HBO programs available on Netflix are older shows, so it’s unlikely that The Pitt, which just premiered in 2025, will be available on Netflix Australia anytime soon.

A new medical series that portrays a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers, The Pitt is geared to be your new favourite modern-day hospital drama. Check out the trailer right here:

The Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital or “The Pitt” is a place where emotions run high and ER doctors juggle “personal crises and workplace politics”.

At the centre of it all is Dr. Michael “Robby” Rabinavitc, The Pitt’s seemingly hardened chief attendant who shows interns a thing or two about saving lives, all while surviving the heartbreak, exhaustion, and the overall craziness of a 15-hour emergency room shift. He’s also one of the frontline heroes working and fighting tooth and nail to do what’s right by his patients.

In addition to Wyle as Dr. Robinavitch, other series regulars include Tracey Ifeachor as Dr. Collins, Patrick Marron Ball as Dr. Langdon, Supriya Ganesh as Dr. Mohan, Fiona Dourif as Dr. McKay, Taylor Dearden as Dr. King,Isa Briones as Dr. Santos, Gerran Howell as Whitaker, Shabana Azeez as Javadi, and Katherine LaNasa as Dana Evans.

Max’s new medical drama is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Sky Studios is also credited as a co-producer. Lead cast Noah Wyle, who was acclaimed for his role as John Carter in ER, is co-executive producer with Wells, R. Scott Gemmill (who wrote the first episode), Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan, and Michael Hissrich.
