What is the plot of The First Omen

The first ever prequel story to The Omen follows Margaret Daino (Nell Tiger Free), a young American woman sent to Rome to work at an orphanage.

She is set to take the veil afterwards, however, a life lived in service to the church takes a devious halt when she comes across a darkness that will bring forth the evil incarnate. Stumbling upon this chilling conspiracy, Margaret begins to question the very beliefs that led her to Rome.

The movie, which looks to recapture the dread of the original film as per the unsettling trailer, is directed by Arkasha Stevenson in her directorial debut, from a screenplay she co-wrote with Tim Smith and Keith Thomas. Producing the movie are David S. Goyer and Keith Levine.
