Last Days of the Space Age is a new Australian drama following the story of Western Australia communities affected by Skylab crashing in 1979.

It centres on three families in a tight-knit community as they go through personal challenges amidst major events that include Skylab’s reentry near Perth, a global beauty pageant, and a power strike.

As uncontrollable events seep into their lives, affecting their choices and creating consequences, these families must also face the realities of an era ending and what it means for their futures.

The series is created and written by David Chidlow (Moving On). He’s joined by writers Alice Addison (Picnic at Hanging Rock), Dot West (The Heights), and Jeremy and Alan Nguyen (Hungry Ghosts). Filming took place in Perth, Western Australia and Sydney and Wollongong, New South Wales.
