How to watch The Menu in Australia

February 4, 2023

Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult star as a young couple travelling to a remote island to dine at an exclusive restaurant in the gripping horror thriller The Menu. The star of the show, of course, is the restaurant’s owner Chef Slowik, a celebrity chef well known for his exemplary and lavish menu. Only after touring the private island and the chef introducing his work, shocking surprises begin to unravel.

Following its successful theatrical run, The Menu is finally available for streaming on demand in Australia. Find out how to watch the new movie online using this guide.

Tyler Ledford and Margot Mills travel by boat to visit Hawthorn, an exclusive restaurant owned by celebrity chef Julian Slowik. There, they savour the opulence of the private island, as well as experience picture-worthy dishes laced with unnerving monologues.

They also meet fellow guests: food critic Lillian Bloom and her editor Ted; wealthy regulars Richard and Anne Leibrandt; movie star George Diaz and his personal assistant Felicity Lynn; business partners Soren, Dave, and Bryce; and Slowik’s alcoholic mother Linda.

Paying thousands of dollars, they all expect to have a top-tier dining experience; only the restaurant’s menu serves fancy dishes with a side of panic and terror as Hawthorn turns out to be the guests’ worst nightmare.

The Menu combines black comedy and horror, bolstered by its social commentary and an ensemble cast. It’s directed by Mark Mylod from a screenplay by Will Tracy and Seth Reiss.
