Inspired by the widely acclaimed BBC baking competition, The Great British Bake Off, this local rendition has captured the hearts and taste buds of viewers across the country.

Fans can expect to some familiar faces alongside a sprinkle of fresh talent. The delightful duo of Rachel Khoo and Darren Purchese are returning as judges, alongside the dynamic comedic duo of Natalie Tran and comedian and writer Tom Walker.

Season 8 begins airing on BINGE from Tuesday, 29 July 2025, new episodes streaming weekly. On Foxtel and Foxtel Now, the new season screens on LifeStyle Food, same day on 7:30 pm.

In the brand new season of The Great Australian Bake Off, viewers will be treated to familiar faces of the previous seasons, including Rachel Khoo, a British cook with an impressive culinary background, together with the king of the pastry world Darren Purchese. They replaced Maggie Beer and Matt Moran and debuted as judges in The Great Australian Bake Off Season 6.

Prepare to be amazed as twelve home baking enthusiasts showcase their skills with three themed baking challenges. From crafting mouth-watering bakers’ creations to exploring the intricacies of pastry, these passionate bakers will give it their all to be named Australia’s best amateur baker.

Comedians Natalie Tran and Tom Walker are also set to host this year’s competition. Their comedic flair and vibrant personalities undoubtedly bring an extra level of entertainment to the series, which has since become a ratings hit.

Here’s a synopsis for this year’s The Great Australian Bake Off competition:

Season 8 will see 12 amateur bakers from around Australia compete across 10 flavour-packed episodes and 30 delicious challenges. From Tropical Tarts and Imprime Rolls to Biscuit Dioramas and Edible Terrariums, this season pushes creativity to new heights, all under the supportive eyes of judges Rachel and Darren. 

In addition to the judges and hosts, The Great Australian Bake Off 2025 will feature 12 contestants from different walks of life.
