Ben Miller (Death in Paradise) is back as the brilliant and highly scrupulous Professor Jasper Tempest, Professor T as his colleagues call him. Assisting the police in solving cases, his not-so cheery disposition makes him difficult to work with. However, his knack for solving crimes is impeccable that it’s only right for him to be made a consultant criminologist.

With Professor T Season 3 arriving this month, here’s how you can watch new episodes in Australia.

The series follows Professor Jasper Tempest, a genius Cambridge University criminologist with obsessive compulsive disorder. While he doesn’t like to get his hands dirty, literally, as his interest in crime is purely academic, he becomes entangled in a mysterious case at the university.

Eventually it all leads up to the professor becoming an advisor to the police after being convinced to help by a former student, now a police detective.

Armed with his unrivalled expertise and his natural shrewdness for scrutinising every police suspect and unveiling the mystery behind every crime, Professor T’s involvement ultimately warms him up to the idea of being part of the police team.

Nonetheless, a haunting childhood memory makes an unwelcome visit every now and then, re-appearing on Professor T’s birthday once and other times when the darkness inside him becomes too much to bear.

Based on the hit Belgian series of the same name, the first season offered a shocking finale when a flashback revealed that Professor T could’ve been responsible for his father’s death.

The show then gained enough traction by season 2, delivering engrossing cases every episode. The second season finale also unravelled an unsettling possibility – someone amongst their team is dirty after an undercover police officer was discovered dead.

The official trailer for season 3 hasn’t been released as of this writing. Check out the trailer for Professor T Season 1 instead below.

Ben Miller stars as Professor Jasper Tempest, while Frances de la Tour plays his overbearing mother, Adelaide Tempest, who’s also selling his long abandoned family home, much to his annoyance.
