In Hocus Pocus 2, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy return to play their iconic roles in the sequel to 1993’s cult classic Hocus Pocus. There have been rumours and speculations about a potential sequel since early 2010s but it wasn’t until 2019 when it was officially confirmed.

The new Hocus Pocus movie is set nearly 30 years after the events in the first film with the Sanderson sisters returning to present-day Salem. With a way more modern world at their disposal, what kind of wicked and outrageous antics could the sisters be up to this time? Find out with the Hocus Pocus sequel now streaming in Australia!

What’s in this Guide?

Twenty-nine years after the events in the first film, the Sanderson sisters are resurrected once again when two high school students, Becca and Izzy, unknowingly use the Black Flame Candle. Gilbert, the owner of the Olde Salem Magic Shoppe, which used to be the Sanderson house, tricks the girls into bringing them back to life.

Learning that Salem’s present mayor is a direct descendant of Reverend Traske, the priest who banished Winifred Sanderson in the 1600s, the sisters swear revenge to get rid of Mayor Traske and inflict mayhem on Salem. But with Becca and Izzy, alongside their friend Cassie, foiling their every plan, the Sanderson sisters, notorious for being child-hungry witches, have to step up their game.
