From the makers of Line of Duty comes another gripping crime thriller, DI Ray, starring The Blacklist’s Parminder Nagra as the titular character, a Detective Inspector in a fictional Birmingham-based police force. After her promotion to join a homicide investigation, she navigates through a labyrinth of danger and makes a shocking discovery that ultimately takes its toll, her personal life bearing the brunt of the investigation.

Dropping all episodes in Australia, find out how you can watch DI Ray online using this guide.

What’s in this Guide?

When Leicester-born Rachita Ray is promoted to homicide, it marks the beginning of a relentless ‘culturally specific homicide’ investigation, where the body count continues to rise. Rachita and her team race to track and uncover more evidence, leading them into the world of organised crime. But there’s more than meets the eye as they delve deeper into a much more sinister crime and make yet another grim discovery.

With her South Asian heritage and lifelong personal conflict, Rachita suspects hidden biases at play, questioning whether she was merely a token hire. Undeterred, she races against time to track down Anjuli Kapoor, a young Muslim man, while facing the ever-present threat of dealing with highly dangerous organised criminals.

Written by Maya Sondhi and produced by Jed Mercurio, DI Ray combines the intensity of a police procedural with a fresh perspective on cultural dynamics and hidden prejudices. As the investigation unfolds, Rachita realises that she must confront the deeply ingrained biases within her team.

Her probing leads her team to more shocking discoveries, pushing them closer to the truth. In the final episode, a revelation of staggering proportion sends shockwaves through the investigation. The true culprits and their motivations are exposed, leaving Rachita and her team changed forever.
