Taking place over the Easter weekend, the event will see over 300 International and domestic drivers fight it out for victory across seven different categories, and you can catch all the action from the comfort of your living room, or stream it live using a compatible mobile device.
2018 Bathurst 6 Hour Preview
Last year’s Bathurst 6 Hour saw an extremely close finish, and fans had their hearts in their mouths right up until the conclusion of the second edition of the race. 2014 Bathurst 1000 winner Chaz Mostert was neck-and-neck with Luke Searle as the race reached its finish, and it was ultimately Searle and his partner Paul Morris, racing for BMW, who claimed victory. This was an historic achievement for Morris, who had previously won the Bathurst 12 hour and Bathurst 1000 – the latter, incidentally, with the man he beat in this race, Chaz Mostert. In doing this he became the first man to win all three of these events and claim the ‘Triple Crown’.
This year, 60 hopefuls will enter the race in one of seven different categories in what has now become an exciting addition to Mount Panorama’s annual racing program. Tim Slade, partnering up once again with Dylan Thomas, will be one group which will no doubt capture the attention of Bathurst fans. Last year, these two failed to finish, but Slade is an underrated driver at Bathurst, and will no doubt be keen to put in a better performance this year. The Bathurst 6 hour, sponsored by Hi-Tec Oils, will see a host of different production cars compete, so for auto lovers, it’s an event well and truly worth tuning in to.
